BARANGAY PROFILE OF SAN ISIDRO


            San Isidro, was originate to Barangay Solana and during the time of Governor Pedro Roa, the residents of sitios Upper Sagpulon, Tampud, Biasong, Kahagnayaan, Bakbakon, Cumilay, Tangcub & Hampaya, Kaluntuyan, Aliburon and Tagonino all parts of Barrio Solana, was presented to become a regular Barrio pursuant of Republic Act 3590 otherwise known as the Barrio Charter. And considering all the requirements of RA 3590 are complied, it was declared as a regular Barrio on July 22, 1968 through approved Resolution No. 444 of the Provincial Board of Misamis Oriental.

            On 2009 during the first term of Honorable Barangay Captain Alejandro R. Tapungot, they found the said resolution at the Provincial Capitol and with his Sangguniang Barangay member they decided to celebrate “Araw ng San Isidro” on the date where it was declared as part of reminiscing the origin of the said Barangay.

PHYSICAL PROFILE


            San Isidro, is one of the hinter land barangay of the municipality of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. It has a total land area of 415.99 hectares. Bounded on the North by barangay Solana; on the East of the barangay Luz Banzon; and the South by the municipality of Claveria and on the West by the barangay Corrales.

 

            The barangay was divided into 6 Purok. In purok 1, included the Sitios of Tampud, Biasong, Aliburon, and Kahagnaya-an, in purok 2, included the sitio of Malad-ang and Bakbakon, in purok 3, the Sitio Cumilay, and the 10,000 sq. mtr. of relocation site owned by the barangay; in purok 4, the 10,000 sq. mtr. relocation that owned by the municipal government with Sitios Kaluntuyan; in purok 5, included the sitios of Tangcub & Hampaya and in purok 6, included the Sitios Tagonino and upper Sagpulon.

POPULATION PROFILE


            The barangay has a total population of 1,296 and 276 households making an average of 4.83 household size. The religious affiliation is commonly catholic.

MISSION OF THE BARANGAY


       Barangay San Isidro shall take the lead in the implementation of programs, projects and activities, promotes strong multi-sectoral/level partnerships and mobilize resources through political will and unity of purpose.

VISION OF THE BARANGAY


     By the year of 2016, San Isidro shall be an economically stable community with moral upright, health and families living in a peaceful, orderly and ecologically balanced environment.
